Apps are proving to be a brilliant tool that are flexible and easy to use. We decided to create a guide so you can understand what’s out there and which ones you can acquire through Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

Brain in Hand

Brain in Hand allows you to plan events and tasks in a diary, which offers reminders to help you achieve your everyday goals.

This app is suitable for people with autism, mental health problems or a brain injury.

CapturaTalk

CapturaTalk assists with accessibility of text, literacy and communication. The app is powered by Abbyy Optical Character Recognition (OCR) engine. With CapturaTalk, you can highlight text on a website or in a PDF file and have it read aloud to you. It also allows you to scan photographs of text and convert it into digital text.

This app is suitable for individuals with dyslexia and reading impairments.

Claro have a range of assistive apps that are useful companions for people who have dyslexia.

Claro ScanPen App

It gives access to printed text materials and documents in a wide range of languages using your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Inspiration Maps

Inspiration Maps is for people in education. Ideal for students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia.

Medincle

This is an invaluable app for individuals with dyslexia and dyspraxia.

This app is suitable for people with learning disabilities such as autism and dyslexia.

Sonocent Link
